How to Measure the Size of Roman Shades
Inside Mount
Headrail Width = Window casing width minus 3/8 inch
- A clean, built-in look, 2 1/2 inches minimum depth requirement.
- 3/8 inch headrail deduction taken at your actual measuring to ensure the side does not touch the edges tightly.
- Order width = Window casing width minus 3/8 inch.
Note:there will be slight gaps on the sides due to fabric deductions.
Outside Mount
Outside mount headrail width = ordered width
- A taller appearance. Outside window frame.
- No minimum depth requirement. We recommend ordering additional width 4-6 inches to prevent light gaps on the sides of your window.
- Measure height to be covered from top to desired length. 2 inches overlap on each side of window is recommended for optimum light control and privacy.

How to understand the width of pleated curtains?
For pleated curtains, the panel width is the width that pleats are already set. 2X fabric usage in default to create pleats and folds. And panel width is from the left pleat end to the right pleat end, instead of the left curtain side hem to the right curtain side hem.
What is stacking width?
Normally stacking width accounts for 20% of the ordered width. So we would like to remind you that if you want the window opening to show completely when the drapery is opened, please make sure to consider stacking width when you decide on rod length.
Should I purchase pin hooks for the pleated style?
The order comes with plastic adjustable pin hooks (for pinch pleat) and metal hooks (for tailor pleat). Plastic adjustable pin hooks allow you to adjust curtain length within 3 inches. You still need to purchase rod rings separately.
Are there instructions for the number of pleats for pleated curtains?
Pleats pin hooks quantity: 10 pleats for 50" width; 13 pleats for 72" width; 15 pleats for 84" width; 19 pleats for 100" width; 21 pleats for 110" width, 23 pleats for 120" width, 27 for 150" width. The width and space of the pleats may vary slightly depending on your track or pole length.
What size is needed to be sewn with double width?
For pleated header styles, like pinch pleat, tailor pleat, inverted pleated box, goblet, and tape pleat, if the curtain finished length is over 108 inches, then the max finished curtain width without seam is 56 inches; if the curtain length is less than 108 inches, no seam for any curtain finished width. Otherwise, the width needs to be double-wide with a vertical seam.
For pleated header styles, like triple pleat and triple tailor pleat, if the curtain finished length is over 108 inches, then the max finished curtain width without seam is 50 inches; if the curtain length is less than 108 inches, no seam for any curtain finished width. Otherwise, the width needs to be double-wide with a vertical seam.
How wide curtain the body memory shaped can be?
The maximum width of body memory shaped curtains is 160 inches.
Do I need to do body memory shape for my curtains?How long will it keep？
The curtains form is permanent. Drapeful Memory Shape Training Curtain Technology enables the fabric to retain a crisp vertical line from ceiling to floor. After body memory shaped, your drapes will hang straight, they will have beautiful folds and they won’t flare at the bottom. Unlike regular curtain fabrics that have a tendency to lose their shape towards the bottom.

These were great to replace our current blinds. It was a bit tricky to figure out the snap in mechanism but once it was set, it’s easy to forget and carry on! Would buy again.

I bought one of these for my kitchen to block glare from the kitchen window onto the tv in adjoining room. I love the color and they really do block a lot of light. I enjoy that a single; light tug causes it to retract on it's own and in my space it hides behind the valance and disappears out of sight. I liked it so well I bought one for the adjoining breakfast nook area. Don't hesitate; these are great! Be sure to carefully measure the internal size of your window frame to determine the right size; unless you plan to mount over the frame.
