How to Measure the Size of Roman Shades

Inside Mount
Headrail Width = Window casing width minus 3/8 inch
- A clean, built-in look, 2 1/2 inches minimum depth requirement.
- 3/8 inch headrail deduction taken at your actual measuring to ensure the side does not touch the edges tightly.
- Order width = Window casing width minus 3/8 inch.
Note:there will be slight gaps on the sides due to fabric deductions.

Outside Mount
Outside mount headrail width = ordered width
- A taller appearance. Outside window frame.
- No minimum depth requirement. We recommend ordering additional width 4-6 inches to prevent light gaps on the sides of your window.
- Measure height to be covered from top to desired length. 2 inches overlap on each side of window is recommended for optimum light control and privacy.

How should I measure for pleated curtains?
Measure the window width at the top, middle, and bottom, and record the widest measurement. For height, measure from the top of the window frame to the desired length.
What are the guidelines for determining the width of pleated curtains?
For a full and elegant appearance, the width of pleated curtains should be 1.5 to 2.5 times the window width. This ensures proper folding and coverage.
What does stacking width mean?
Stacking width refers to the space the curtain occupies when fully opened. Consider this measurement to avoid obstructing views or light.
Should I consider fullness for pleated header style? Are pin hooks necessary for pleats?
