Inside mount measurements provide a clean, integrated look by fitting within the window frame. Accurate measurements ensure a perfect fit.

Depth Requirements

  • Confirm your window is deep enough for an inside mount.
  • Check the product’s minimum mounting surface requirements under the "Description" tab on the product’s information page.

Measuring the width

  • Measure the width of the window opening at the top, middle, and bottom.
  • Use the smallest measurement.
  • Round down to the nearest 1/8” if needed (e.g., 24 9/16" becomes 24 1/2").
  • Use this width for ordering.

Measuring the Height

  • Measure the height of the window opening from top to bottom at the top left, center, and top right.
  • Use the largest measurement.
  • Round up to the nearest 1/8” if needed (e.g., 24 9/16" becomes 24 5/8").
  • Use this height for ordering.

Outside Mount

Outside mount measurements cover the entire window and frame, offering better light control and privacy. Accurate measurements ensure proper coverage.

Flat Surface Requirements

  • Decide where to mount the blind outside the window frame.
  • Ensure you have at least 2 ½” of flat surface.
  • You can mount on top of the trim or above it.
  • Check the "Description" tab on the product’s information page for more details.

Measuring the width

  • Measure the exact width of the window opening at the top, middle, and bottom.
  • Use the largest measurement.
  • Add a minimum of 4 inches to this measurement for proper coverage.
  • For more light coverage and privacy, add additional inches as needed.
  • Use this final number for ordering.

Measuring the Height

  • Measure the height of the window from top to bottom at the top left, middle, and top right, ending at the bottom of the sill.
  • Use the largest measurement.
