- Roman Shade Width: Roman Shade Width = Window Opening Width - 1/5". For inside-mounted shades, reduce width to fit head rail.
- Roman Shade Height: Roman Shade Height = Window Opening Height.
- Note: Choose outside-mount if window depth < 2 2/5 inches.
Outside Mount
- Width of Roman Shade: Calculate the width as Roman Shade Width = Window Opening Width + 3"-6". This extra width ensures proper coverage when installed on the side.
